The Village of Oak Lawn Water Division has contracted M.E. Simpson to perform necessary and preventative maintenance of the distribution system to ensure proper operation.

Accumulated sediment in the water main and fire hydrants will be flushed during normal business hours

Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Beginning September 25th through September 26th 2017

While flushing is underway short temporary periods of low pressure and discolored water can be expected, but DOES NOT present a health hazard.

To restore clarity to your tap water use a faucet with the aerator removed, or use a laundry sink faucet without an aerator, and flow the cold water until it clears.

                     95th Street to 99th Street, Nashville to Harlem.

                     Please refrain from doing Laundry during these times if Possible

Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received for the following project:
2017 Sanitary Sewer Inspection and Rehabilitation


Building Conference Room, 5550 98th Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois at 10:30 A.M. ON THURSDAY, MARCH2, 2017 to discuss the Bidding Documents. CONTRACTORS WHO DO NOT ATTEND THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE BIDDING PROCESS.

Provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to access, clean, inspect and rehabilitate / repair sanitary sewers
and manholes within the specified sewer rehabilitation project areas. Access activities include obtaining the necessary permits and permissions to gain access to the sewers, notifying the public, as well as physically accessing the site. Diversion and control of flow through the sewers may be required if flow is too high to clean or obtain a clear inspection or successful rehabilitation. Cleaning activities include hydraulic cleaning and the removal and disposal of roots / debris, as well as leveling intruding taps.
Inspection shall be accomplished with a closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection and post-inspection data processing
in accordance with NASSCO PACP shall be required. Pre-rehabilitation cleaning and inspection may be required for
select rehabilitation areas. Rehabilitation includes manhole cementitious restoration, chimney seal restoration, manhole
rim adjustment, chemical grouting, lateral / connection repairs, short liners, point repairs and cured-in-place pipe lining.
Sealed Bid Proposals will be received up to the hour of 10:00 A.M. (CST) on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in the office
of the Village Clerk in the Municipal Center located at 9446 S. Raymond Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. All sealed
bid proposals will be publicly opened and read at 10:00 A.M. on the same day in the Municipal Auditorium at the
Municipal Center.
