The Village of Oak Lawn is launching a multi-year project to make needed repairs to our parking garage which will extend the lifespan of the facility.


The garage will remain open during the renovations, however:  Please be advised that certain sections of the garage primarily on the 4TH and 5TH floors will be closed off during the repair work. No Parking signs will be posted. PLEASE ADHERE TO THE SIGNS OR YOU WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWEDTraffic patterns will be maintained, however travel lanes will be shifted with traffic control. While work is occurring there may be some occasional dust created as concrete and joint repairs are being made. 

Temporary additional permit parking for users will be located at:  North side of 96TH St. between 52nd Ave and Cook Ave. South side of Yourell Ave. between 52nd Ave. and Cook Ave. 

The First Phase of Repairs Will Begin on May 1St, and Continue Until Approximately August 15TH, of 2017.

Notice is hereby given that Village Of Oak Lawn will accept bids for the roof replacement of steep (shingles) and low sloped roofs (modified bitumen) on Sections A, B and C in 2017, on the Salt Dome at 5532 West 98th Street Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453 according to the Drawings and Specifications in the Project Manual as prepared by Mac Brady Associates, Inc., 4415 W Harrison Street, Suite 502, Hillside  IL  60162  Project Manager Melissa Lieb, RRO, CCCA at (708) 354-1343


A pre-bid conference will be conducted at 10 AM on April 7, 2017, by the Department of Public Works at Village of Oak Lawn Equipment Maintenance Conference Room, located at 5550 W. 98th Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453.  All Responsible Bidders submitting Bid Forms for this work are required to visit the subject site compare the Drawings and Specifications in the Project Manual with work in place and inform themselves of all conditions. 


The Contractor will be required to pay no less than the Prevailing Wage Rates (as recorded by the Illinois Prevailing Wage Ace – 820 ILCS 130 and in Springfield, IL) on this Project as established by the U.S. Department of Labor and must comply with the equal opportunity provisions set forth in the Contract Documents.  The Contractor also shall comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulations.  The Village of Oak Lawn reserves the right to determine the low, responsive, responsible bidder, to wave irregularities, and to reject any or all bids.


Responsible Bidders will not be given extra payments for conditions that can be determined by examination of the site and documents. A physical copy of the Project Manual will be available to all prospective bidders only at the pre bid conference.  If you can not attend the pre bid conference, you will need to email for an electronic copy.  Additional copies will be available for a pre-paid, non-refundable cost of $75. Sealed Bids will be received on or before but not later than 2 PM on April 21, 2017.
