The Village of Oak Lawn is launching a multi-year project to make needed repairs to our parking garage which will extend the lifespan of the facility.

 

The garage will remain open during the renovations, however:  Please be advised that certain sections of the garage primarily on the 4TH and 5TH floors will be closed off during the repair work. No Parking signs will be posted. PLEASE ADHERE TO THE SIGNS OR YOU WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWEDTraffic patterns will be maintained, however travel lanes will be shifted with traffic control. While work is occurring there may be some occasional dust created as concrete and joint repairs are being made. 

Temporary additional permit parking for users will be located at:  North side of 96TH St. between 52nd Ave and Cook Ave. South side of Yourell Ave. between 52nd Ave. and Cook Ave. 

The First Phase of Repairs Will Begin on May 1St, and Continue Until Approximately August 15TH, of 2017.

The Planning and Development Commission and Board of Appeals are recommending bodies that hear petitions for a variety of zoning variations such as setbacks variations, parking, setbacks, subdivision and alley vacations.   To submit a petition click on the links below.  For more information contact the Engineering Division at (708) 499 7814.  We encourage all applicants to contact the Village to assist with petition documents.

Planning and Development Commission

The Planning and Development Commission meets on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:30pm in the auditorium on the second floor of Village Hall.

Zoning Board of Appeals

The Board of Appeals meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the second floor auditorium of Village Hall.  The petitioner is required to be in attendance to discuss their request. Petitions must be submitted no later than 20 days prior to the date of the Board of Appeals meeting.

Architectural Review and Design Commission

All sign permit and commercial building elevation alteration petitions must be reviewed and approved by the Architectural Design and Review Commission (ADRC) prior to issuance of a building permit. The Commission meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 7pm, in Conference Room “B” in the lower level of the Oak Lawn Municipal Center at 9446 South Raymond Avenue.
