OFFICIAL NOTICE STREETS DIVISION / STREET SWEEPING is to begin on Monday, October 16, 2017.  The process will take two weeks the first time out and residents are asked to have their vehicles off the streets on the day designated for their area. This will ensure that the streets are swept without the hindrance of parked cars.

To fulfill our commitment, our department consists of 76 uniformed personnel who are prepared to offer these services from three fire stations located within Oak Lawn. These facilities are staffed twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year.

Under the direction of the Fire Chief, the mission of the fire department is achieved through four organizational categories.  Each category is under the direction and control of the Deputy Fire Chief who oversees three Shift Battalion Chiefs of Suppression and three Administrative Bureau Chiefs of Training/Safety, Fire Prevention & Public Education, and Emergency Medical Services.
