With the 4th of July less than a month away, we want to make your celebration with us as smooth as possible. Please find parking information that will be in effect during the Oak Lawn Park District and Village of Oak Lawn’s Fireworks display at Richards High School, 10601 Central Ave., along with the Oak Lawn Park District’s Party in the Park event at Memorial Park, 102nd & Major, on Wednesday, July 4th: 

Richard High School’s entire South Lot on 107th Street will be closed for resurfacing.

107th Street will be closed to traffic. 

Parking during these events will be available at the following locations:

* Oak Lawn Park District Racquet, Fitness & Gymnastics Center, 10444 S. Central Ave. *

* Wolfe Wildlife Refuge, 109th St. & Kostner Ave. (police patrols on the paths guiding patrons to the Fireworks display) *

* Memorial Park, 102nd & Major *

* Oak Lawn Park District’s Stony Creek Golf Course, Restaurant & Banquets, 5850 W. 103rd St. *

The objective of the Water Division is to deliver potable water to its customers.  This objective is very clear and is achieved through the cooperative efforts of all Water Division employees.  The "Management by Objective" philosophy is a good choice for a water system.  People give little thought to the water system supplying their needs except on the rare occasion when they turn on the faucet and no water comes out, or it is turbid or has an odor or odd taste.  It is an unspoken tribute to the water personnel who, day after day, deliver the potable water in the quantities and at the pressures desired by the customers with so very few disruptions.  The water system supplies a vital service to the public.  No modern community such as Oak Lawn could exist without a safe, dependable water system.  We, as well as all other water systems, have to meet the minimum standards and requirements of the regulatory agencies.  It is the water supplier who has the basic responsibility of providing safe water that will not impair health in any way.

 Water Turn-on Fees for nonpayment:

   $125.00 between the hours of 8:30 A.M. & 4:00 P.M. (Monday through Friday)

   $ 225.00 for any other time than stated above.

Tampering Fees: Ordinance 16-15-54.

    Water Meter and Buffalo Box tampering fees:

   $500.00 for 1st violation

   $700.00 for subsequent violations

Fire Hydrant Flushing

This program benefits are two-fold. Number one, this exercise helps remove corrosion and sedimentation buildup in water mains. It also serves as an annual operational check on the condition of fire hydrants.
