The Village of Oak Lawn is launching a multi-year project to make needed repairs to our parking garage which will extend the lifespan of the facility.


The garage will remain open during the renovations, however:  Please be advised that certain sections of the garage primarily on the 4TH and 5TH floors will be closed off during the repair work. No Parking signs will be posted. PLEASE ADHERE TO THE SIGNS OR YOU WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWEDTraffic patterns will be maintained, however travel lanes will be shifted with traffic control. While work is occurring there may be some occasional dust created as concrete and joint repairs are being made. 

Temporary additional permit parking for users will be located at:  North side of 96TH St. between 52nd Ave and Cook Ave. South side of Yourell Ave. between 52nd Ave. and Cook Ave. 

The First Phase of Repairs Will Begin on May 1St, and Continue Until Approximately August 15TH, of 2017.

Following the 10-Point Transparency Checklist set forth by the Illinois Policy Institute, the Village of Oak Lawn is committed to transparency in governance.

  1. Elected & Administrative Officials: Provided is the contact information of all elected officials, Village Manager, and department heads.

  2. Meeting Information: Provided are Calendars, Agendas, Minutes, and Board Packets.

  3. Public records: Provided are FOIA submission forms & FOIA Officer contact information.

  4. Budgets: Provided are the current-year budget and previous budgets.

  5. Financial Audits: Provided is regular audit information: the comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). Additionally, provided are special project report results (such as TIF districts and special construction projects), audit schedules, and performance audits for government programs.

  6. Expenditures: Provided is a Checkbook Register and Credit Card expenditures to all individuals and third-party vendors.

  7. Salary & Benefits: Provided is compensation information for each individual employee including Wages, Salary, Overtime, Health, Dental, Life, Pension, etc.

  8. Contracts: Provided are rules governing contracts posted online; including bids and contracts for purchases over $20,000 and the vendor’s campaign contributions posted with contract. Also provided are labor agreements with all employee groups.

  9. Lobbying: Provided is information for taxpayer-funded lobbying associations that the Village belongs to as well as information for the Village's lobbying firm.

  10. Taxes & Fees: Provided is information for taxes or fees that the Village levies including sales, property, income, and miscellaneous taxes, fees on residents & businesses.
