Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so there is sure to be extra excitement.  The Village of Oak Lawn has extended Trick-or-Treat hours from noon to 8 p.m. Village-wide.  All drivers are urged to go slowly and cautiously for the safely of all little goblins and friends.

The Village of Oak Lawn has partnered with Midnight Terror Haunted House to host a FREE walk-through for kids.  The lights will be on and all characters will be in costume for younger trick or treaters to enjoy.  Children under age 12 are free and adults are $10.00.  The kids walk-through will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. and is expected to be very popular.

Haunted House

The Park District is featuring a Trick or Treat on Ice on Sunday, October 25th from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at the Oak Lawn Ice Arena at 9320 S. Kenton.  They urge everyone to bring the family, show off costumes and enjoy some scary music and treats.  The Ice Arena will also be having a Ghoulish DJ Night on Friday, October 30th from 9:00 to 10:30 pm.  For additional information on these activities, call (708) 857-5173.

Trick or Treat on Ice

St. Gerald School is hosting their first Giant Pumpkin 5K Run/Walk at 8:00 am on October 31st.  There will be activities for all ages.  The race will begin and end at 9310 S. 55th Court in Oak Lawn.  Participants are urged to dress in costume.

Pumpkin 5k

The First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn is hosting their popular Pumpkin Patch again at 100th & Central.  There are free tractor rides, photo opportunities, gifts and crafts for purchase and a huge leaf pile to jump into.  Pumpkins of all sizes and shapes are available for purchase.  It is open from 10:00 am to dusk Monday through Saturday and noon to dusk on Monday.
