OAK LAWN REGIONAL EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS


The Oak Lawn Regional Emergency Communication Center (OLREC) handles Police and Fire Dispatch for the Village of Oak Lawn, Village of Bridgeview, City of Burbank, Village of Evergreen Park, Village of Alsip, Village of Hodgkins Police and Fire Dispatch for the Village of Bedford Park, Village of Lyons, and Central Stickney Fire Protection District.

OLREC is also the MABAS Division 21 primary dispatch center. This includes providing services to the following fire departments, Chicago Ridge, Hometown, North Palos, Roberts Park, and Summit.

The member municipalities and agencies jurisdictional areas represent approximately thirty-five (35) square miles, 146,687 residents, large industrial areas, an international airport, two major medical centers, major shopping centers, and interstate roadways that effectively increase the population of residents and visitors every day.

OLREC's Computer Aided Dispatch and Mobile Data System process over 2.4 million transactions annually.
