Financial Reporting

The Village's Finance Department is accountable for the management and use of public resources.  The majority of the Village is funded by funds received from various taxes, charges for services or grants.  Because the Village serve as stewards of taxpayer money, there is a need for both uniformity and transparency in the way financial data is reported.  The Governmental Accounting Standards Board (“GASB”) sets financial accounting and reporting standards, know as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”), for local government.

The reports provided to the left of view were filed in compliance with GASB, Federal Regulations and/or State Statute.  These various reports collectively provide an overall view of the Village’s financial operations, condition, and position for citizens, their elected representatives, oversight bodies, and creditors.
