Patrol
The patrol division is made up of uniformed patrol officers. Patrol officers are responsible for a wide range of responsibilities. Patrol officers are out on the streets patrolling the residential areas, schools and business districts 24/7 365 days a year. Their primary function is to deter and detect criminal activity, traffic enforcement, responding to calls for service.
The patrol division encompasses a wide range of specialty positions including the evidence technicians, canine, field training program, bike patrol, rapid response rescue vehicle operators, rifle specialist, motorcycle unit and the special response team. Members assigned to these positions receive specialized training in their field.
